Sr. Lucy C. Marindany is a native of Kenya, East Africa. She belongs to the Institute of the Little Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Marist International University, Nairobi, Kenya and a post graduate degree in Education at Egerton State University in Kenya. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education at Saint John’s University New York, New York.Sister Lucy’s background is high school teaching and for many years in East Africa, she taught Business, History, Religion, and Physical Education.
In addition to teaching, she has experience in pastoral ministry and religious instruction with wonderful experiences with people with special needs.
Some of her hobbies include reading, research, travelling, meeting new people, taking walks, crocheting and knitting.
Joanne Lehmann has served on several boards in an effort to follow Christ's issue in Matthew 25:35-40. She is currently president of her local Resale Shop and secretary of a local Immigration Welcome Network. She has spent over 40 years serving at-risk children as a pediatric speech pathologist.
Joann's association with Little Sisters' Angel Fund came after hosting a young Kenyan woman while she attended a University near her home. She subsequently visited Kenya and fell in love with the people and its rich hospitality and heritage. Serving on the Board of Little Sisters' Angel Fund has only expanded her knowledge of God's great goodness.
No one can ever come close to the generosity of our Lord. Any action is only a small means of loving Him and thanking Him for His innumerable blessings.

Tina Hodges is a Colson Fellow and lives in Berryville, Virginia. She is a former advisory board member for Bethania Kids, an organization serving orphaned, abandoned, at risk children in India. Tina has devoted the past 18 years to advocacy, fund raising and awareness in the areas of human trafficking (particularly children) and relationship of human trafficking risks to refugees world wide. She participated in her former Parish St. Gregory's twinning efforts with Churches in Oaxaca Mexico where her committee was able to successfully assist in completing a chapel for worship. She was blessed to become involved in the St. Josephine Bakhita Children's Home when she met Sister Lucy Marindany on a flight to Nairobi in January, 2012. Tina has mentored a South Sudanese family from Dinka tribal group since November, 2016 providing assistance with green card applications, US citizenship processes, high school and university education. She believes that ALL boils down to "Love your Neighbor as yourself".
Gina Faith recently retired after nearly 40 years in a variety of quality and engineering positions at a major steel producer. She is passionate about serving others. Now that she is retired, Gina volunteers in many church activities including her church’s food pantry and during Advent helps with the Angel Tree. She is active in her church as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the RCIA team for both children and adults.
Gina's involvement with St. Josephine Bakhita Children's Home was sparked by meeting Sister Lucy and having the honor of attending her 25 year jubilee in Nairobi, Kenya. Meeting Sister Lucy and her family led to the desire to participate in the development of the orphanage.
